How AI scores your work
Our AI systems analyse your responses against the IELTS band descriptors.
- Speaking: fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar
- Writing: task response, coherence, lexical resource, grammatical range
- Scores are estimates and may differ from official IELTS results
- Powerhouse includes human teacher verification of AI scores
Data and AI training
Your submissions may be used to improve our AI systems. We anonymise data before using it for training. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Known limitations
- AI feedback is not a substitute for official IELTS assessment
- AI can occasionally give incorrect feedback
- Human review on Powerhouse is there to catch AI errors
- We work continuously to improve accuracy
