    What each rung means.

    From handling a first conversation to reading anything put in front of you. The placement diagnostic puts you on a rung, and the pathway takes you up from there.

    Basic user

    BeginnerCan understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases.
    A2
    ElementaryCan communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information.
